7's Last Saturday at Palo Alto
 

The young guys did a very credible job on Saturday.  We went with an under 23 side that consisted of 2 De La Salle highschool players, one Cal player (transfer), one Syracuse player, one Poly player (all former Lamorinda players), Bane, a new player from Modesto, Tau, Epi and Big Jeff.
The boys took the field against Baracus and proceeded to put 6 trys on the board to one for Baracus for a well earned  31 - 5 win.
Next it was Mission who have a strong side and put 6 trys on to our 2 for 31 - 14 final score.
The final match was the Hayward squad and the boys put up a good fight but ended up on the short short 35 -7.
The competition at PA this summer season is scattered at best for the first two tournaments and over all play is not as we have seen in the past.  however, this is a great opportunity to get the younger players some experience.  Although an U-23 side we still ended up playing all club sides and no collegiate sides.  So the experience is good for these young players.
